Styling

Coming to the styling part, this is one of the most subjective topics where no scooter looks any less than the other. While the Simple OneS and the Ather 450X look sharp and edgy, keeping their legacy alive, the Tesseract offers something new to the mix, taking a very different approach to the electric 2-wheeler styling, but typical Ultraviolette-ish. Ola S1 Pro has to be the most 'simple' of the lot with a laid back design and offers a more classic appeal. While you might have different choices in what you prefer your daily ride to be, if you want something different than the rest, the Ultraviolette Tesseract would be my pick. You may beg to differ and that would be completely true for you as well.

Battery Capacity | 3.7 kWh | 4 kWh | 3.7 kWh | 3.5 kWh |

Coming to the specs and range highlights, the Simple OneS is offered in a single 3.7 kWh. battery pack option with a claimed range of 181 km on a single charge. While the S1 Pro, Ather 450X and the tesseract come with a range of battery pack options, we have selected the closest variants for this comparison. For the maximum range, the Ola S1 Pro leads by a big margin with a claim of 242 km on a single charge, thanks to the bigger 4 kWh battery, whereas the Simple OneS gets 181 Km for the second spot. As for both the Tesseract and the Ather 450X, you get around 160 km of claimed range, making them sit at the bottom of the table.
Features: The One Undisputed King

Electric scooters, or for that matter, EVs in general, are not just commuters at play, but a blend of modern technology and cutting edge features, making them a delight for the tech-savvy users. While all the scooters come with multiple ride modes, touchscreen instrument console, and multiple safety features, the undisputed king in this section is the Ultraviolette Tesseract which offers loads of features like 7-inch touchscreen display, front and rear integrated dashcam, wireless charging, dual channel ABS, along with driver assistance feature like lane change assist, blind-spot alerts, and other, making it a class leading proposition.

Ather 450X provides a comprehensive digital experience with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, and integrated Google Maps navigation. Enhancements via the Pro Pack include AutoHold functionality, detailed ride analytics, and smart features like WhatsApp notifications, real-time location sharing, and theft detection. Conversely, the Ola S1 Pro focuses on a dynamic riding experience, featuring a fully digital touchscreen interface, a selection of riding modes, big underseat storage, multiple charging options and others, but it all feels dwarfed in front of the Tesseract.

Pricing: Plays Its Play
Simple OneS | Ola S1 Pro | Ather 450X | UV Tesseract | |
Price | Rs. 1.40 lakhs | Rs. 1.35 lakhs | Rs. 1.56 lakhs | Rs. 1.20 lakhs (Intro) |
Now, something that is one of the topmost filters while going out for vehicle shopping is the price point. And in a price sensitive country like India, you have to get it right the first time to set the pace for how the product is perceived. For this, the Ultraviolette Tesseract comes in hot at an introductory pricing of Rs. 1.20 lakhs ex-showroom, which makes it an almost obvious choice for buyers at this point, although the test drives are still not available. After the offer ends, the scooter will be priced at Rs. 1.45 lakhs.
Verdict
The Simple OneS keeps its line-up simple or restrictive with just a single battery pack option and offers a well balanced price to performance and features ratio. However, when it comes to rivals, the Tesseract comes out as the most sensible option with class-leading tech on-board along with its sweet spot of pricing, albeit only for a limited time.
