Suzuki Access 125 VS Honda Activa 125 VS TVS Jupiter 125: Features
In Access, the automaker has added front disc brakes, bluetooth enabled digital console, USB socket, LED headlights with LED DRLs and side stand interlock. Also, the fuel lid is painted in chrome which is placed upwards to the tail lamps. Last by ver important, in the top trim, Suzuki offers 7 paint options with 2 being dual tone colours.
Unfortunately, the Honda Activa 125 doesn't offer as many features as the Access 125. The only standout technologies are the LED lights and the H-Smart key, which helps you locate your scooter in large parking areas like malls, as well as the Idle Start-Stop system, which helps save fuel at red lights. Beyond that, it lacks a fully digital screen and USB connectivity.
The last scooter here is packed with features and justifies its higher price. First of all, the headlamp is LED, and it also features LED DRLs, along with plenty of chrome accents that add elegance. The alloy wheels have a diamond-cut design, which looks fantastic alongside the disc brakes. Additionally, the instrument cluster is fully digital and borrowed from the TVS Ntorq 125 scooter.
All the features you'd expect from a modern scooter are provided, including navigation with voice assist, call and social media alerts, distance to empty, average fuel economy, live sports updates, and news updates - all thanks to the SmartXonnect technology.
Additionally, the Jupiter 125 comes with a backrest for the pillion, which is not available in its rival scooters. Moreover, the fuel lid is not located at the rear but near the glove box. This is a very smart decision by TVS, as it allows the rider to refuel without any extra effort, all while remaining comfortably seated in the front.
Mileage
The most important factor when buying these scooters is fuel economy, and in this regard, the Jupiter and Activa offer similar figures. The ARAI mileage of the Jupiter is 50 kmpl, while the Activa delivers 51.23 kmpl. On the other hand, the Access 125 provides 45 kmpl, according to ARAI. However, these are tested figures by an authority, and with careful driving, all these scooters are capable of delivering close to 60 kmpl on average.
In terms of power, each scooter is on the same level, with over 8 PS of power and 10 Nm of torque.
