In August, TVS Motor Company launched the updated avatar of its top-selling commuter scooter, the Jupiter 110. The brand has made many changes in the scooter in terms of design, features, and engine. With the new updates the Jupiter 110 has become a more fierce rival in its segment and it now offers a lot of better things as compared to the rivals. We rode the Jupiter 110 on TVS' test track at their plant in Bengaluru and told you about the changes and initial impressions of the scooter. How It Looks?
In the previous ride review, we've explained what all has changed in terms of design in the new Jupiter. The scooter looks good on the road and the new design gives it a good road presence as well. The brand has altered the dimensions a bit which is noticeable. The new LED DRL and connected LED taillamp which the brand calls infinity LED light give it a distinctive look. The new body lines make it sharper than its previous generation. Overall the design of the Jupiter 110 has improved a lot.
The 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 comes in 6 different colour options, among these colour options 3 are matte and 3 are gloss colours. The colour options are named Dawn Blue Matte, Galactic Copper Matter, Titanium Grey Matte, Meteor Red Gloss, Lunar White Gloss, and Starlight Blue Gloss.
Is It Practical Enough?
As I always say, you buy a commuter scooter for its practicality and TVS has nailed this in the new Jupiter 110. The brand has relocated underseat fuel filler cap to the front similar to the Jupiter 125 which helped in offering more underseat storage. The scooter now comes with 33 litres of under seat storage which can easily fit a hald face helmet or even 2 half face helmets. Moreover, it gets a cubby hole in the footrest area which can easily hold a 1-litre water bottle. The apron mounted fuel filler cap takes away the worry of hopping off from the scooter to close the lid.
The new Jupiter comes with relatively bigger dimensions all thanks to the tweaked chassis. The seat is now longer which can easily accommodate two adults and some luggage. The floorboard area is now bigger and offers good space for the rider. The brand claims that a LPG cylinder can be easily carried in the floorboard area. With better dimensions, the scooter has become more comfortable.

How Does It Ride?
With the 2024 model the brand has tuned the suspension and updates the hardware of the scooter. The Jupiter 110 now rides on new 90/90 12-inch tyres. It features telescopic front forks and adjustable rear spring shock absorber. The scooter offers a good ride quality with its neutrally tuned suspension. The suspension smoothly absorbs the uneven surfaces, preventing any harsh jolts from reaching your back. The front offers good absorption while the rear is bit on the softer side but not too unsetteling. It takes the speed breakers, small pot holes and undualtions of the road with ease.
Additionally, the scooter now weighs nearly 105 kg which is comparatively lighter than the rivals and its previous generation model. The light weight helps in offering better handling, it has become more agile and it is easy to control. The 12-inch tyres offers better stability while cornering and it is now more stable as compared to the previous gen. If we talk about braking, the combination of front disc and rear drum brakes offer good braking and enabled confidence in emergency braking situations. Moreover, the Combined Braking System (CBS) helps in avoiding wheel lock in panic braking situations.

Performance
The new Jupiter 110 comes with a new 113.3 cc engine which produces 8 bhp of power and 9.2 Nm of peak torque. This engine now offers more power and torque, it also offers better acceleration compared to the previous gen scooter. It now comes with a mild-hybrid system called TVS iGo Assist, the iGo Assist system offers extra boost for quick maneuvers. The iGo Assist turns the peak torque output to 9.8 Nm.
The scooter offer quick acceleration and good low and mid range performance. The iGo Assist system is active even at low range, providing an extra pull. While the input isn't very noticeable, it does give you a subtle boost. As far as the economy is concerned the Jupiter can easily give 50-52 kmpl mileage in city. The brand claims, the iGo Assist helps in enhancing the efficiency by 6-7 percent. The scooter offers good amalgamation of performance with comfort.
What Features Does It Offer?
On the features front, the Jupiter doesn't fails to impress, it comes with all the modern features which you can think of in a commuter scooter and some of them are segment first features. It comes with new infinity LED DRL and taillamp, digital LCD coloured display, hazard lamp, TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation support, auto-cancellation winkers, USB charging port among other features.
Verdict
The 2024 TVS Jupiter 110 is better than its previous generation model in many ways, it is more powerful, more stable, more features loaded and it now shines as one of the best 110cc commuter scooter. The Jupiter now is suited for everyone in the family whether you're buying it for yourself, your parents, your spouse or your children, it will bring a smile on everyone's face.
