Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
The TVS Jupiter gets a 109.7 cc motor that delivers peak power and torque output of 7.47 PS and 8.4 Nm respectively. The scooter comes with a belt drive type (CVT) transmission and features fuel injection. The overall refinement levels from this motor are great and the performance output too is decent for a scooter of this class. There are no harsh vibrations felt while riding it at city speeds but push it hard and you will realize that this motor starts to run out of the breath after 60-70 kmph mark.
Ride and Handling
The Jupiter is one of the first scooters in the 110cc segment that came with gas-filled shock absorbers at the rear while made it an excellent scooter for slow city rides. The overall suspension setup is tuned to deliver maximum comfort but at the same time, also provides decent stability to the scooter. The Jupiter may not be the most agile scooter in the segment but surely is one of the best choices for those who spend long hours on the roads.
