The Indian two-wheeler market is brimming with great options in every segment be it 150-450cc or 500-1000cc segment. While bigger 1000cc motorcycles cater to a selected community of premium buyers, the 150-500cc segment is a mass-market thing. Indian buyers are shifting towards motorcycles falling in this category because of the performance, features and value for money. On the other hand, the Yamaha R15's engine is more refined and behaves better when it comes it to higher RPMs. Simply put, the R15's powerplant easily pushes its limit simultaneously providing a smooth ride but the Karizma XMR 210 misses out on the grunt and produces high vibration on the higher RPMs.

However, the R15 has an edge over the Karizma because of its Deltabox frame and USD front forks which make the ride more confident at triple-digit speeds. Apart from this, the R15's hardware feels more responsive and better in most situations. It is worth mentioning that the XMR 210's trellis frame and adjustable suspension create a balance of comfort and sportiness, ultimately leading to a better riding experience. Both the Yamaha R15 and the Karizma XMR 210 offer an Anti-braking system (ABS) as standard.

Also, the XMR 210 has better cushioning on the seat when compared to the YZF-R15.

Price Comparison

The Yamaha R15 V4 starts at Rs. 1.83 lakh and goes up to Rs. 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the price tag, the R15 offers an impressive set of features and technology. On the other hand, the Karizma XMR 210 is available in a sole variant which is currently priced at Rs. 1.80 lakh.
