What we know so far?

The 2022 Yamaha YZF R1 is expected to launch sometime in June, 2022. This official launch month might change. The new motorcycle has already been has been launched abroad. The 2022 YZF R1 carries over minimal changes. So, aesthetically and mechanically it remains the same. However, there are some minor updates on the color front. 

Specifications

The 2022 Yamaha YZF R1 is powered by the same 998 cc inline-4 cylinder engine that features the revolutionary crossplane crankshaft technology, a direct feature lifted off from the MotoGP bike. The engine produces 197 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, and transmission duties are handled a 6-speed manual, with assist-slipper clutch. The engine features several. 

Other features include All-LED lighting, a full-color TFT instrument cluster that displays infos like, front brake pressure, G-force, street mode, track mode, a tachometer, lap timer, gear position indicator and speed. The standard electronics list also includes, ride-by-wire throttle system, variable intake system, engine brake management, and Lean Angle-sensitive traction control system. 

Price and Launch

As mentioned before, the 2022 Yamaha YZF R1 is expected to launch in India sometime in June, or July. The R1 was sold here in its single Standard variant and its e-showroom price (Delhi) started from Rs. 20, 39,233, without accessories. Expect the 2022 R1 to start from around Rs. 21 lakhs.
