Hyundai has today finally launched the new third-generation 2020 Hyundai i20 in India. The new i20 is leaps and bounds better than its predecessor. It looks very striking, gets multiple engines and gearbox combinations and is loaded with features up to the gills. The price of the new 2020 Hyundai i20 starts at Rs. 6.79 lakhs and it goes all the way up to Rs. 11.18 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. It is available in four main variants - Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). So, in this article, we have explained the price and variants of the new 2020 Hyundai i20.
Before we begin with the price and variants details, let me quickly tell you the specifications of the new i20. So, the new Hyundai i20 is available with three different BS6-compliant engine options. It gets a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an IVT (IVT model generates 88 PS of power). Next, it gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 100 PS of power and 240 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only and there is no diesel-automatic combo.
Finally, the new Hyundai i20 also gets a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It churns out 120 PS of maximum power and 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a segment-first 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission) and a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). This is the same 120 PS turbo petrol motor that does its duty in the new Hyundai Verna Facelift, Venue and Kia Sonet too. The new-gen i20 is offered in eight colour options, out of which six are mono-tone colours and two are dual-tone options. The mono-tone colour variants are Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Starry Night and Metallic Copper. Also, except for the base Magna trim, all other variants get two dual-tone shades too.
