Hyundai recently unveiled the Tucson facelift at the 2020 Auto Expo. The design is no surprise as the facelifted version has been spied on Indian roads a lot of times before. The launch for the same is expected to be in March.
2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift changes stick to exteriors, interiors and get BS6 petrol and diesel engines. The SUV comes in two variants - GL Option and GLS.
At the front, the facelifted Tucson gets large cascading grille and chrome inserts. You also see L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights and the LED treatment continues on the headlights and taillights section. The front and rear bumper design are also new. Overall, all the upcoming and facelifted cars from Hyundai follow the same design structure.
Inside, the changes are mostly to the upholstery and the dashboard design. Unlike the predecessor which used to come with dual-tone interiors, this one gets all-black interiors. BlueLink technology which comes with Venue, Elantra marks its pace with the Tucson too.
The SUV continues with the same set of features which were present earlier and the new version adds a large panoramic sunroof, wireless charger and 8-way electrically adjustable passenger seat. It also gets Adaptive Cruise Control and Advanced Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
The facelifted version continues to utilise the 2.0-litre petrol and diesel motor under the hood. Tuned to the latest BS6 norms, the petrol produces 150 bhp on tap with a maximum torque of 192 Nm. The oil burner churns 182 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Transmission for both sticks to torque converter automatic gearboxes as standard. Petrol utilises the 6-speed while the diesel replaces the 6-speed with the 8-speed gearbox.
The launch of the facelifted Tucson is expected in March and we expect the prices to see an upwards of Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hyundai Tucson competes with Jeep Compass.
