Kia Motors entered the Indian market in the year 2019 and launched the Carnival MPV as their second product in February 2020. The Kia Carnival was launched in India at the 2020 Auto Expo and we all loved it. However, the Carnival which is currently on sale in India is the facelift version of the third-generation Carnival. The third-gen Carnival has been on sale in the Global markets since 2014. Just a few days ago, Kia unveiled the exteriors of the fourth-generation Carnival in its home market, South Korea. Now, the company has revealed the Interiors of the new 2021 Kia Carnival.
First of all starting with the interiors, so as you can see it gets a completely new interior. The Carnival gets a fresh revamped interior layout and there is almost nothing in common with its predecessor. Step inside the cabin and you can notice that this new fourth-generation model gets beige and brown colour treatment on the dashboard. Taking the centre stage of the dashboard are two big 12.3-inch screens. The one is a touchscreen unit for the infotainment system while the other displays the instrument cluster. Both the screens are designed to fit inside a single piece of glass, just like you see in some Mercedes cars in India.
Talking about other bits, it gets four AC vents on the dashboard. These vents are horizontally connected with each other with the help of a thin chrome strip. The centre console also gets some touch-sensitive buttons for climate control and other systems. Moreover, it gets a new three-spoke steering wheel which looks the same as before but gets more functionalities. Overall, it gets a very nice-looking dashboard and the new digital screens and dual-tone colour treatment further enhance its appeal. The Carnival will also get a multi-zone climate control system, dual sunroofs, electric-powered sliding doors, etc.
The new fourth-gen Carnival also gets a new dial for the shift-by-wire automatic transmission. In a shift by wire system, the transmission modes are engaged in a car through electronic controls. There is no mechanical linkage between the gear shifting lever and the transmission. Kia Motors has officially confirmed that just like its previous-generation model, the new Carnival will also be available in multiple seating configurations. In South Korea, the new-gen model of this MPV will be available in seven, nine and eleven-seater configuration.

Talking about the exteriors, so the new Carnival is completely new on the outside too. It gets a new sharp front fascia with Kia's signature tiger-nose grille, all-LED headlamps and more.
The side profile houses new multi-spoke alloy wheels and at the rear, it gets a new tailgate with all-LED taillamps. Overall, it has a masculine appeal and now looks more like an SUV than an MPV. Globally, the Kia Carnival is offered with two engine options: a 2.2-litre oil-burner and a 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Currently, the India-spec Kia Carnival is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine that churns out 200 PS of power and a whopping 440 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the ARAI-certified fuel economy is rated at 13.9 kmpl.
The new fourth-generation Kia Carnival will be firstly launched in South Korea and then in some other international markets. It is worth mentioning that the Carnival is also sold as Kia Sedona in some international markets. This was all about the interiors of the new 2021 Kia Carnival which has been dubbed as a 'Grand Utility Vehicle.' It is expected to be launched in India in 2022 and not anytime before that. Currently, the India-spec Kia Carnival is priced between Rs. 24.95 lakhs - Rs. 33.95 lakhs, Ex-showroom.
