KTM India is on a roll. The company is planning to launch multiple new-gen motorcycles in the country in the near future. This Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer will soon launch the much-awaited new-generation KTM RC 390 in India. Along with the RC 390, KTM will launch the new-gen RC 200 and the RC 125 too. Just like the RC 390, the official images of the new 2021 KTM RC 200 have leaked online ahead of its launch. So, let's check them out.
New-Gen KTM RC 200 - Design Updates
KTM India's current-gen RC-series motorcycles look almost identical to each other and the same will be the case with the new-gen models too. The new-generation KTM RC 200 looks identical to the new RC 390. At the front, it no longer gets a twin projector set-up, instead, it gets a new single-pod halogen unit along with LED DRLs. The side profile of the motorcycle looks as sharp as before and it gets a slimmer rear-end. The RC 200 retains its underbelly exhaust and the new decals on the motorcycle's body panels look very good.
New-Gen KTM RC 200 - Engine Specifications
Just like the case with the new-gen RC 390, we don't believe KTM will make any significant updates on the mechanical front of the RC 200. The new RC 200 is still expected to be powered by the same old BS6 compliant 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor churns out 25 PS of maximum power at 10000 RPM and 19.5 Nm of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. These are class-leading figures but we won't mind if it becomes even more powerful.

New-Gen KTM RC 200 - Hardware and Features
The new-generation KTM RC 200 will feature revised underpinnings and it will use a bolted sub-frame instead of a welded unit on the old model. For suspension duties, the RC 200 will continue to get USD (upside down) forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties on the motorcycle will be performed by disc brakes at either end and it will get dual-channel ABS too. The new-gen RC 200 will also get a new LCD display as the main instrument cluster and it will be borrowed from the ADV 250.
New-Gen KTM RC 200 - Launch Date and Price
Finally, let's talk about the launch date and price. So, the new 2021 KTM RC 200 will be launched in India very soon & the official price announcement ceremony might take place within a few days. Currently, the KTM RC 200 is priced at Rs 2.08 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi and one can expect the new-gen RC 200 to charge a slight premium over the current prices. The unofficial bookings for the new-gen KTM RC 200 are already open at the dealer level.
