Royal Enfield is a very popular two-wheeler manufacturer, not only in the Indian market but also abroad. Talking about its motorcycles, so the Royal Enfield Classic 350 has always been the company's best-selling product in India. Like most other Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Classic 350 has its own sweet charm and people aspire to own this machine. However, it needs to be mentioned that save for the BS6 update, the addition of the alloy wheels and some new colour schemes, the RE Classic 350 hasn't got any significant upgrade. But, soon things are gonna change as the production-spec version of the all-new 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 has been spied on test in India.
The new-generation Classic 350 was initially about to be launched in India by the end of this year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the supply chain issues, its launch got delayed. But now, it seems that RE is all-set to launch the new Classic 350 in India. Recently, production-spec version of the new-gen 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 was spied on test in India. The new motorcycle wasn't wearing any camouflage and was spied near the company's manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. Talking about the changes in the upcoming new-gen Classic 350, so it will be more of an evolution than a revolution. The motorcycle will now get a new platform, new engine, new features and some minor tweaks to enhance its overall aesthetic appeal but it will retain its classic retro design.

The new-gen Classic 350 will be based on Royal Enfield's new J platform. It is the same platform that underpins the all-new Meteor 350 too. This new platform is more modular and it will also make the Classic 350 a bit lighter than its current version. Talking about the powertrain, so again the all-new Classic 350 will borrow its engine from the newly launched Meteor 350. The all-new RE Classic 350 will bid adieu to the company's old 346cc engine and instead, it will get an all-new J-series BS6-compliant 349cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine with an electronic fuel-injection system. This new motor in the Classic 350 will churn out around 20.2 PS of maximum power at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. Also, this new mill will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The company claims that this new engine has a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations to a great extent.

Talking about the other changes, so the new-gen Classic 350 will get a round halogen headlamp but with new LED DRLs. It might even get LED taillamps, new more comfortable seats and also RE's new Tripper navigation system that made its debut with the Meteor 350. Talking about the launch timeline, so the all-new RE Classic 350 is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2021. Currently, the Classic 350 BS6 is priced between Rs 1.61 lakhs - Rs. 1.86 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi and we expect the new version to charge a slight premium over the current prices.
