Tata Motors has finally expanded its EV range by bringing in 2021 Tigor electric and the bookings for the same has now started. The electric sedan will be launched on August 31, 2021. Just a few days ago, Tata brought in the X-Pres T-EV that is based on the company's new brand 'X-Pres' that solely focuses on the fleet operators.
What's new in the facelifted 2021 Tigor EV is that it adapts to the new ZIPTRON technology as the Nexon EV thus offering a better driving range. It now also supports fast charging and the battery can be juiced from 0-80% in just under 60 mins while it takes 8.5 hours from any 15A charger for 0-80%.
ZIPTRON technology offers five key factors - Performance, Technology, Reliability, Charging and Comfort. This lithium-ion battery packs in an IP67 certification long with an eight-year/ 1,60,000 lakh warranty.

It gets a 26kWh battery pack that generates 74 bhp with a peak torque of 170 Nm and it is mated to a single-speed automatic gearbox. It also gets a Sports mode across all variants for that added boost. Tata promises that the Tigor EV offers a zippy electric drive and does not compromise on mobility. The Tigor EV achieves 0-100 kmph sprint in just 5.7 seconds.
Feature-wise, it gets iRA connected car technology with 30+ features, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Harmon Kardon music system, tyre-puncture kit, power-folding ORVMs, height-adjustable driver's seat and others. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBB, a high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors and more.
