Finally, the upcoming 2022 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is taking shape. We presented to you the first images of the test bike a few weeks ago. While the images were clear, the test bike seemed not production-ready. Here is another test mule that is spied testing recently. The new images showcase that the design is nearing its production-ready stage. So, what to expect from the new-gen Pulsar 150?

For starters, the design seems heavily inspired by the bigger sibling bikes. Look close and you'll find uncanny similarities between the test bike & Bajaj Pulsar F250 as well as Bajaj Pulsar N250. The elder bikes are more buffed up in dimensions but the test bike being in the 150cc segment, is considerably sleek & small. The front is use the iconic Pulsar headlight cowl along with the new LED projector headlight. The trademark 'wolf eye' LED DRLs are also spotted on the new-gen Pulsar.

Move to the rear and you will notice the same tail light section from the big Pulsar series bikes. The split-twin LED taillights are so iconic that Bajaj has decided to use them in the upcoming generation as well. Apart from this, there are a few noticeable changes in the test bike. The digital instrument cluster seems all new. There is a new wide & comfortable split-seat design. The engine is covered with a belly pan. Also, there is a kick start lever; probably for the test variant only.
Speaking of the engine & specs, we suspect that the 250cc engine will be reworked & detuned for the new-gen Pulsar 150. This means the block & head might be the same as that of the F250 or N250. Well, we are not sure about the engine specs but expect the power & torque figures to be the same more or less. The current-gen Pulsar 150 is already the most powerful in the segment. This could mean that the new engine will focus on linear power delivery, efficiency, & smoothness.
We suspect that Bajaj might debut the new Pulsar 150 somewhere in July. Once the bike is launched, it will compete with TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda Unicorn, Suzuki Gixxer & the Yamaha FZ.
