2022 Hero Xpulse 200T Details
Hero has released the teaser of the facelifted bike on its social media handles. However, the faintly visible bike in the teaser showcases some interesting revisions. Speaking of the updated bike, it gets cosmetic and mechanical changes. The first change to notice is the use of a new flyscreen attached to an all-new LED headlight. The new round headlight seems to have carried from the Xpulse 200 4V. This headlight is more bright when compared to the outgoing model. Meanwhile, the front forks get a gaiter kit as a protection accessory.
The overall body design and dimensions look unchanged. However, the use of dual colour contrast is prominent. The engine is also revised as it now gets 4 valves as on its ADV sibling bike. Hence, the top-end performance of the facelift is expected to have enhanced. Additionally, the engine gets a big metal sump guard which shall increase its usability on rough roads. Meanwhile, the rear end is more or less the same but a new grab rail with a luggage carrier looks new. The updated bike is expected to be launched in the coming weeks.
Verdict
As the market is shifting towards a new trend of tech, the update for Xpulse 200T was much necessary. However, it is yet to be seen whether the updates will do the required job or not for Hero. Meanwhile, the prices of it will undercut the ADV version. Hence, we expect its pricing to remain around Rs 1.25 - 1.30 lakh ex-showroom. Its main rivals in India are - Honda CB 200X & TVS Apache 200 4V.
