Honda launched the City Hybrid e:HEV on May 4 at Rs 19.50 lakh and started the deliveries too on the same day. To be available in just one variant, ZX, it is the top-spec trim that gets all the bells and whistles. The popularity of City Hybrid is as such that it already gets a waiting period of 6 months.
Powered by a 1.5-litre, Atkinson petrol motor along with an advanced Lithium-ion battery unit. The City generates a useable power of 109 bhp on tap with a maximum torque of 253 Nm. Honda claims that the fuel economy of the e:HEV City sticks to 26.5 kmpl which is quite higher than even the diesel version of the sedan.
Feature-wise, it gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, all-LED headlights, automatic climate control, Alexa support along with smartwatch connectivity, an electronic parking brake and others.

Safety equipment on the Honda City Hybrid includes ADAS, adaptive cruise control, lane watch assist, collision mitigation with emergency braking, auto-high beam and more. Other safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP, hill hold control, a high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder and more.
Honda is also benefitting the customers by providing a standard 3 years unlimited warranty on the City hybrid. Buyers can also pick between a 5 year extended warranty and a 10 year anytime warranty. The warranty of the Li-ion battery sticks to 8 years or 1,60,000 whichever comes at the earliest.
