Mahindra launched their most anticipated SUV, Scorpio N on June 27 at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. While the prices of the 2WD were out, the prices of the most popular, 4X4 and automatic variants were not revealed. Now, Mahindra has confirmed that the 2022 Scorpio N 4x4 version and automatic trims will be launched on July 21.
Mechanically, Scorpio N is powered by two engine options - 2.0-litre Stallion petrol and a 2.2-litre, diesel unit. The petrol generates as much as 200 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 370 Nm. With the auto version, the maximum torque sticks to 380 Nm. This is the same engine as found in the Thar and XUV700.
The 2.2L diesel motor is made available in two states of tune - 130 bhp/300 Nm and in higher trims, this motor belts out 173bhp/370 Nm and 173bhp/400 Nm for the manual and auto trims respectively. Both the petrol and diesel motors are mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is available as an option.

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N is made available in five variants - Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L. The 4x4 version and automatic are made available right from the Z4 trim. The carmaker also offers three driving modes - Zip, Zap and Zoom.
Feature-wise, the Scorpio N is available with a touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, Sony 3D sound system, push-button start/stop, cruise control, an electric sunroof and more.

Safety equipment on the Scorpio N includes six airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, a high-speed alert system, front and rear parking sensors, front and reverse camera, driver drowsiness detection and more.
