A video that has been uploaded on Youtube shows the next generation 2022 Mahindra Scorpio undergoing cold weather testing in Leh alongside the Mahindra XUV700. This video shows a bunch of Mahindra XUV700s and the next-gen Scorpios being tested on harsh terrain in cold weather conditions. All the cars that are seen in the video wore a heavy camouflage.

The Mahindra XUV700 is expected to launch in India next month. The SUV will be aggressively priced and will come with segment-first features, which would, in turn, help the SUV come across as a high value proposition.
The next generation 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is likely to be offered with two engine options- a 2.2-litre diesel engine that is likely to produce a maximum power of 132 hp and a 2-litre direct-injection turbo petrol engine that should output 152 hp. The transmission options on offer will include 6-speed manual and automatic units.

Even the XUV700 will be sold with petrol and diesel engine options- 2.0-litre direct injection turbo petrol engine which produces 200 Ps of maximum power and 380 Nm of peak torque, and a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine that generates 185 Ps of maximum power and 420Nm/450 Nm of peak torque with automatic/manual gearbox. Both the variants will be available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
The Mahindra XUV700 will feature AdrenoX operating system that works with built-in Alexa. The car also benefits from an immersive 3D sound tech, intuitive drive modes, and mobile phone connectivity features. XUV700 will give a tough competition to its rivals.

The Mahindra XUV700 even comes with many safety features, including Adaptive Cruise Control which lets the SUV to adapt speed according to the vehicles around you, High-beam assist which shifts to low-beam during oncoming traffic, Traffic sign recognition which won't let the driver skip any important road-sign, and more. Yet another highlight is the Dual HD Superscreen which includes 10.25-inch infotainment screen and 10.25-inch digital cockpit.
So far, there have been no official statement on the launch date of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio but in all probability, the new mode would make its debut in the first-half of next year.
