2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 adventure motorcycle was seen testing again over the public roads. We pitch you through the new details that emerged via photos.
The 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is making it to the news for some time now. The repetitive cameo of test mules has already made it clear what to expect from the upcoming adventure motorcycle. The new spy shots have added a few pointers about this elusive motorcycle.

Seen testing on the roads, the recent test mule seems to be nearing the production-ready stage. Although, the spy photos have changed our notion about a few things. While the design and the overall dimensions look similar to the current-generation Himalayan; the new bike will surely be big. The overall silhouette, fuel tank shape, side panels design, and the raised-up front do look to have grown mature. The test mule was completely camouflaged though.
One thing to notice in the new spy pics is the use of all-LED lighting equipment on the upcoming motorcycle. The turn indicators which were deemed to be carried over from the likes of Meteor, and the new Classic 350; are now LED. Even the rear-end design was new as compared to the previously spotted test bikes. There is also a new LED tail light embedded in the rear section. While the front was not revealed, we anticipate an all-LED headlight too.

Another major change to notice is the round all-digital instrument console. It resembles the Meteor's twin-pod setup but this one is not semi-digital. The previous test bikes were seen using vertical-digital instrument panels. The new console means there could be new feature additions as well to the MID. Along with this, USD front-forks are readily visible which is a good thing as they would help in offering good handling, ride, and chassis balance over off-road sections.
This is widely anticipated that the upcoming Himalayan will use a new liquid-cooled engine which will be good enough for around 40 hp of peak power and about 40 Nm of peak torque. We also expect that the upcoming Himalayan will feature a new 6-speed, slip-assist clutch, and the dual-channel ABS. With the digital console, who knows that Royal Enfield might also offer traction modes? These doubts will clear as the bike is nearing its expected 2022-end launch. This means the new Himalayan will make it to the streets sometime around mid-2023.
