Skoda has finally unveiled the much-awaited Monte Carlo Edition of the 2022 Kushaq in India at Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Just like other Monte Carlo editions, this one too is based on the top of the line variant and gets extra bits and pieces of cosmetic changes over the regular versions. On the outside, this Monte Carlo edition of Skoda Kushaq will be made available in two dual-tone paint schemes - Tornado Red with Black and Candy White with Black. It now gets blacked-out LED headlights, gloss black treatment on the grille, fog light housing, faux skid plates, ORVMs and more. Clearly, this Monte Carlo Edition gets a complete dechromed treatment to make it look more appealing than before.
Moving towards the side profile then the alloy wheels are new and borrow design inspiration from the Octavia RS245 and brake callipers for the Tornado Red shade are finished in red. For the Candy White option, it gets a subtle grey finish. Other than this, Monte Carlo badging is observed on the front fenders in gloss black finish only. Similarly, the roof rails too get the same treatment as other elements. The rear profile follows the dechrome styling too and the chrome strip on the tailgate now receives a glossy black treatment.

Shifting your focus on the inside then be it the Tornado Red or Candy White exterior colour scheme, the cabin receives a black and red theme. Red colour treatment on the dashboard, centre console, seats and even the door pads and handles. Clearly, the piano black theme is now replaced by the red and it looks quite premium. Other than this, the steering wheel and armrest get contrast red stitching.
To differentiate from the regular variants, this edition now also gets an aluminium finished accelerator and brake pedals. Feature-wise, the Monte Carlo Edition of the Kushaq gains an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster that is borrowed from the recently launched, Slavia. This edition's badging is observed on the headrests.
Powering the Monte Carlo Editon of Skoda Kushaq are two petrol motors - 1.0L TSI making 114 bhp of power with 178 Nm of peak torque and a more powerful, 1.5L TSI generating 148 bhp of power and 250 Nm of maximum torque. Both the engines receive a 6-speed stick shift as standard along with an optional 6-speed AT for the 1.0L TSI and 7-speed DSG for the 1.5L TSI.
