The Tata Safari Adventure Persona Edition will be available with the XZ+ and XZA+ trim levels. This edition also adds a new Orcus White color to the SUVs palette.
Tata Motors had earlier announced that the Safari SUV will get ventilated seats in the first and second rows, with the XZ+ and XZA+ trim levels. Now, the automaker has revealed that with these features, the trim levels will also be called Adventure editions. Ex-showroom prices are at Rs. 20.99 lakhs with the XZ+ trim, and Rs. 22.29 lakhs with the XZA+ trim.
Aside from updated seats, the Safari Adventure Persona editions will also get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a wireless charger, and an air purifier. It still shares its underpinnings with the Land Rover Discovery, via the D8 platform.
Mechanically, the Safari continues to be powered by a single diesel engine option. The Kryotec 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, alongside a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission option. The latter is sourced from Hyundai.
The addition of ventilated seats is a really nice addition for a car that costs Rs. 20 lakhs and above. Theres no doubt the Safair is luxury-oriented, but will it be enough to beat its competition, which includes the XUV 500, and MG Hector? Let us know your views in our comment section.
