Toyota's hatchback Glanza has undergone a thorough update. The new 2022 Toyota Glanza spied on a TVC shoot video has showcased the different design changes from its sibling-cum-rival the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
Although both of the mid-size hatchbacks are based on a similar platform, Toyota has subtly updated the Glanza amid the storm created by the soon launching new Maruti Baleno.
Firstly anticipated as a Maruti Suzuki's TVC shoot, the semi-camouflaged car has showcased the difference between the new Baleno and Glanza. The updated model possesses a different set of DRL LED headlights. Not visible completely, the front bumper lips and foglamp housings hint towards a reworked bumper design.

It has been evident that the Toyota Glanza is more or less the same car like Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The first batch of Glanza iteration was manufactured by Maruti Suzuki itself. The joint venture between these two Japanese carmakers is to provide budget-oriented products to customers via Toyota showrooms.
The new Toyota Glanza is expected to remain mechanically unchanged similar to that of the new Maruti Baleno. This means it'll continue using the 1.2-Lt naturally aspirated Dualjet mild-hybrid petrol engine which produces a peak power of 89 Bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. This power meshes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Toyota also offers a 1.2-Lt non-hybrid variant of this engine which produces 82 Bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. This non-hybrid version is available with a 5-speed manual or reliable CVT automatic transmission options.
Since its launch, Toyota Glanza has found a fair share of sales among the hatchback-seeking buyers. Toyota's badging has ensured great reliability and aftermarket support. The sorted engineering from Maruti Suzuki has helped Baleno and Toyota Glanza to prove themselves as capable and user-friendly car over years.
As the TVC shoot is on its way, we expect Toyota to launch the new Glanza somewhere around March 2022. The new upcoming 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno is also set for launch by this period and hence Toyota won't due to the launch of Glanza too long. Expect a slight bump in pricing due to the new updates. The current Toyota Glanza is sold between Rs 7.49 - 9.45 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
