Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler India Launch Date & More Info
We've been reporting the multiple spotting of the new Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler bike for some time now. However, there were no official details about its debut until now. In a recent media interaction, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj officially announced that it'll be launched globally on 27 June. Additionally, the India launch of the new 400cc bike will be in September'23. Bajaj has developed two variants of it. One of these is a roadster while the other one is a more hardcore scrambler. Both of these models will feature the same engine and components but for a different segment.
Triumph has recently handed over its India operations to Bajaj. Bajaj will not only be operating the showrooms for Triumph but it'll also manufacture this new range of bikes. Not only that but Bajaj is also going to introduce more models on the same platform in the future. Speaking of this upcoming model, it'll probably get a 350-400cc single-cylinder engine. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it is suspected to produce around 35-40 bhp of peak power. We also anticipate that Bajaj will introduce a long list of accessories for both of the new models.
Verdict
The middle-weight bike segment of India is very luring. Also, the profits attached to it are provoking the manufacturers to constantly work on new models. Bajaj Dominar's failure in India has been a sour learning for the company. However, with Triumph's assistance, the new bike is all set to take on the rivals like Honda CB300R & Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. We suspect that it'll be priced somewhere between Rs 2.5-3 lakh.
