2023 Hero Xpulse 200 4V Update - What's New?
The latest update has brought multiple changes to the entry-level ADV by Hero. The cosmetic changes include a new 60mm taller windscreen, a 230 per cent brighter LED headlight, and new switchgear for a premium feel. Meanwhile, the rider triangle has also been revised for creating more space. The footpegs, to be precise, are now set 35mm lower & 8mm backwards than their previous position. Hence, the rider shall now get more space. Additionally, a USB phone charger has also been fitted for added convenience.
Apart from these, there're some technical changes as well. For example, the new Xpulse now gets 3 different riding modes. These include - Road, Off-Road, & Rally. These modes hinder the single-channel ABS of the bike to provide more fun in different terrain. Apart from this, Hero has renamed its Rally variant to Pro now. This variant comes with an additional cost of Rs 7,000. For this cost, the rider gets a fully adjustable suspension at both ends, a taller seat, & a handlebar raiser for easy off-road riding. Also, the footpegs are differently placed on this version to provide ease of using off-road boots.
Speaking of the engine, the capacity of the unit remains unaltered. However, the 199.6cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine is now E20 fuel compliant. The maximum power produced by this powertrain is 19.1 bhp & a peak torque of 17.35 Nm.
Verdict
The new Xpulse now offers more features and a better-refined engine that is also E20-fuel compliant. Therefore, it still remains one of the best entry-level ADVs in the market. However, Hero is currently developing a bigger Xpulse. It is probably going to launch by next year in India & it is anticipated to get a 400cc engine.
