- Hyundai i20 rivals Tata Altroz, Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz and Toyota Glanza
- The 2023 i20 will be offered petrol engines only. There will be no diesel engine for the new version of the i20
- Expect the price to be higher than the current version
Hyundai i20 is one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in the country. It is also one of the most feature-loaded cars under Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Now, as per the recent spy shots, the 2023 i20 facelift is spotted and we expect this model to be launched later next year by Hyundai.
From the spy shot, nothing can be highlighted as the overall silhouette of the hatchback remains the same as the current model. However, we can expect some cosmetic changes on the outside. At the front, we can expect a revised front fascia.
An all-new grille design, revised bumper, DRL layout and tweaked fog light housing are some of the changes that can be expected at the front. Towards the side profile, we can expect a new design for the alloy wheels, however, upon closer look, the wheel caps on the spied model are the same as the outgoing model.

Still, Hyundai will change the alloy wheels design for sure. Moving towards the rear profile, we expect slight changes only. Like the revised bumper design and the badging. Rest, things are likely to remain the same as before.
Feature-wise, we expect the i20 to be better than before. Features like rear disc brakes, front ventilated seats, head-up display, 360-degree camera, and more connected features can be expected from the facelifted i20. Do expect an increase in safety features too of the same.
Under the hood, Hyundai will continue to offer the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol motor. The 1.5L diesel engine will no longer be offered due to the more stringent real driving emission norms that will hit the Indian market from April 1, 2023.

Currently, the Hyundai i20 is priced from Rs 7.07 lakh to Rs 11.62 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It rivals Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz and Honda Jazz. With the facelifted model, we expect the prices to be slightly above than this version.
Verdict
The all-new 2023 Hyundai i20 is expected to get more features and safety equipment once it is launched in the Indian market. As far as the prices are concerned then we expect a slight increase with it.
