2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 ADV launch is nearing. The latest test bike was spied in almost production-ready form revealing more details to us.
Cult bike maker Royal Enfield is readying a bunch of products for the global markets. One of the most prominent of them is the 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The new ADV is going to be a bigger and better version of the current Himalayan. The uber success of Himalayan is soon going to get transformed with more tech and performance. The latest test bike was spied on the outskirts of Chennai. Apparently, the test bike looked production-ready and showcased some important details to us.

2023 RE Himalayan 450 Details
The upcoming ADV from RE is going to be based on new chassis. It is evident via the latest spy pics as well. The design now mimics the bigger flagship ADVs like the Honda Africa Twin. Additionally, the engine compartment is now more complex. Thanks to the new liquid-cooling and new engine size. In order to keep the center of gravity in the middle, the exhaust is small and upright. This will give the riders more confidence in the off-road section.
Speaking of the features, it will be based on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke tube-type tyres. Additionally, the rear monoshock is now divulged with the swingarm. At the front, a new USD suspension has taken cover for more strength and subtle ride. However, the instrument panel looks inspired by the Meteor 350. A tripper navigation system is also suspected to be offered as standard once it is launched.
Engine & Specifications
To compete with the rivals like KTM Adventure 390, the new Himalayan will have a bigger engine. We suspect that it will feature a 450cc, single-cylinder unit. This will be liquid-cooled and might produce power around 43 bhp and a peak torque of up to 37 Nm. However, these figures are just imaginary as there are no hard proofs of them. Additionally, a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper-clutch and ride-by-wire tech will be offered.
There are even rumors that RE is going to equip it with riding modes as well. We suspect that it will come in at least 2 variants. One is going to be more road-focused while the other will be a hardcore off-road machine (as seen here). The expected launch is around Q1 of 2023. We expect the pricing to remain around Rs 2.5 lakh or a few thousand more.
