Tata Motors is all set to revamp its Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs, and they've given us a sneak peek at the interior upgrades. The good news for SUV enthusiasts is that bookings for these refreshed models kick off on October 6. The prices are not yet out but will be announced soon. Interestingly, the brand has already dropped teasers about the exterior updates just recently.
So, what's cooking inside the upcoming Harrier and Safari facelifts? Let's dive in and explore.
2023 Tata Harrier & Safari Facelift: Interiors Teased
With what the teaser suggests, both the Harrier and Safari facelifts will be treated to a shiny new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. But this isn't where the digital magic ends. There's also a larger central touchscreen infotainment system in the mix which usually means more screen real estate equals more infotainment fun. On top of this, Tata's steering wheel will sport an illuminated logo, just like the one we have seen on the updated Nexon.

Some of these nifty interior elements are inspired by the new Nexon range. The digital instrument cluster, for instance, bears a striking resemblance to the Nexon's setup. Expect the top-end variants to flaunt a generous 12.3-inch screen, akin to the one in the Nexon EV, while lower trims might come with a still substantial 10.25-inch unit. As a twist, the steering wheel on the Harrier and Safari now sports four spokes, deviating from the Nexon's two-spoke design.
You will find a new gear lever and a redesigned rotary drive selector, accompanied by a fresh set of storage solutions. This facelift isn't just about appearances; it now offers more functionality inside the cabin space. Moreover, the cabin now also features ambient lighting neatly tucked under the dashboard lining.
Powertrain: The Trusted Same
Mechanically, both SUVs are keeping their trusted 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engines, with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. These powertrains now also meet the BS6 Stage II emissions norms. Tata Motors does have plans for petrol and electric powertrains for these SUVs, but that's a story for another day.
Verdict
Tata Motors is gearing up to elevate the driving experience with the upcoming facelifts of the Harrier and Safari SUVs. The interior teaser showcases a blend of modern technology, improved quality, and stylish design elements. With features like a spacious digital instrument cluster, an upgraded infotainment system, and ambient lighting, these SUVs aim to provide an enhanced and contemporary driving experience. As Tata Motors continues to innovate, the forthcoming launches promise to redefine its place in the SUV segment. Also, You can join our 91Wheels Whatsapp Group for all such latest updates.
