For the upcoming model year, the Honda ADV 160 offers a choice of four captivating colours, including the new additions: Pearl Bosphorus Blue, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Pearl Smoky Gray, and Matte Dahlia Red Metallic. While the colour options have expanded, the rest of the bike remains unchanged. The design draws inspiration from the Honda X-ADV, featuring robust bodywork that exudes a rugged charm.
At the front, you'll find an assertive fascia with sleek headlamps and vertically mounted LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The bike sports a sizable transparent windscreen on the front apron, not only serving a functional purpose but also adding to its sporty allure. The elongated tail section, complemented by a tall windscreen, contributes to the bike's distinctive profile. Additional noteworthy features include stylish rearview mirrors, a stepped single-piece seat, and an upswept exhaust. Despite the arrival of the 2024 Honda ADV 160, there are no alterations to the design, ensuring continuity in its aesthetic appeal.
The upcoming model will showcase an LCD meter known for its robust image and clear visibility. This display provides a range of information, including a tachometer, fuel gauge, average fuel consumption, and outside temperature gauge. The indicators are neatly arranged at the top and bottom of the LCD screen. Additionally, the Honda ADV 160 will be equipped with a Smart Key, a feature already available with the Activa in India. It boasts a total storage capacity of 29 litres, along with a handy smartphone charging socket and an emergency stop signal for added safety.
The ADV 160 is equipped with a 156cc, four-valve engine that produces 16bhp and 15Nm of torque. It features advanced technologies like an idle start-stop system, ESP (enhanced smart power) tech, and an ACG starter.
Although Honda hasn't officially confirmed the release of the ADV 160 in India, enthusiasts are anticipating its launch, especially after Hero showcased the Xoom 160 ADV-style maxi scooter. The Hero Xoom 160 is expected to hit the market in 2024. If Honda decides to introduce the ADV 160 in India, it will likely compete with the Hero Xoom 160. As of now, Honda has not provided any details about the potential launch in India.
Verdict
The Honda ADV 160 2024 edition appears poised to make a significant impact, offering riders a stylish and feature-packed adventure scooter.
