2024 Honda Africa Twin Details: Design, Changes, Engine, Price
As visible in the design patent, the upcoming Africa Twin gets cosmetics as well as mechanical updates. On the cosmetic front, the new model now gets a redesigned fairing for better visual appeal. Also, the adventure sports variant is offered with two suspension adjustment options - a manual and an electronic one. Moreover, the front wheel is now 19 inches with a short front suspension travel to make it more highway-friendly.
Honda has also revised the engine torque output. It now develops 112 Nm with more low-end torque due to the ECU remapping. This has been done for better cruising and off-road capabilities. Honda has also reworked the airbox size (diameter), the valves, and the fuel injectors. The Africa Twin is sold with a 6-speed manual and a DCT automatic transmission. The gear ratios are also revised for better experience.
Speaking of the rivals of Africa Twin in India, the BMW GS 1250, Triumph Tiger 1200, and Ducati DesertX. The current pricing of Africa Twin starts at Rs. 16.02 lakh in India. We anticipate that the new model will get a steep price hike as compared to the current model.
