Major Updates
The MU-X has become more dominating than ever with its sharper appearance, giving it the feel of a performance model. The front end now features an all-black grille and an RS badge for the top-spec sports trim. Redesigned headlights, taillights, and bumper enhance its road presence significantly. Additionally, the SUV received a new pair of all-black alloy wheels, adding to its sportier demeanour.
Interior Changes
Except for the RS trim, all other variants feature beige and brown interior upholstery. The RS trim, however, comes with an all-black interior highlighted by red ambient lighting. You'll also find the RS badge on the headrests and contrast stitching on the upholstery, marking this special trim of the Isuzu MU-X.
New Features
The MU-X now features a new 7-inch touchscreen along with an improved 9-inch multi-information display (MID). The list of new features includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The upgraded ADAS offers lane-keeping assist, traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic brake, and blind spot monitoring.
Additionally, the SUV now has a surround view monitor, which is particularly useful for off-roading as it shows the driver what is beneath the vehicle floor.
Engine Option
The powertrain remains unchanged, offering a 1.9-liter diesel engine producing 160 hp and 360 Nm of torque, and a 3.0-liter diesel engine delivering 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The RS trim offers an optional 4x4 drivetrain.
Will it come to India?
In India, the MU-X is priced between Rs. 35 lakh and Rs. 37.9 lakh, competing against the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian. Currently, there is no information on whether Isuzu will bring a newer version of the MU-X to India or if we will see any new models from the manufacturer.
