2025 Ducati Panigale V4; What's New?

The design of the new Panigale V4 draws inspiration from the legendary 916 from back in the day, with slimmer headlights and a redesigned fairing. The winglets have also been repositioned to provide more downforce than on the previous motorcycle. Interestingly, both the V4 and the V4S seem to get only one colour option; Ducati Red, because what else suits a Duc better, right?

The 1103cc, four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine receives several internal changes and it is now Euro5 compliant. While the power increase isn't substantial, the numbers are still quite rather mean and scary enough to make you soil your pants if you aren't ready. Both the V4 and the V4S put out 213bhp at 13,500rpm and 120.9Nm of torque at 11,250rpm.

A lot has changed on the hardware front this time around. The 2025 Panigale V4 is built on an aluminium alloy front frame. However, both variants differ slightly in terms of the suspension. The standard Panigale V4 hangs off of fully-adjustable Showa 43mm big-piston fork with chromed inner tubes, along with a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock and a conventional double-sided swingarm; the first Ducati in a long time uses one. Meanwhile, the Panigale V4S makes use of Ohlins electronic suspension on either end.

While the Panigale V4 comes with 17-inch cast alloy rims, the Panigale V4S makes use of 17-inch forged alloy rims, and both motorcycles make use of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP-V4 rubber. It is also the first motorcycle to make use of Brembo Monobloc Hypure brakes as well; 330mm twin discs with radially-mounted callipers, along with a 245mm disc with a dual-piston calliper. Ducati also offers Race eCBS on both ends.

In terms of features, the 2025 Panigale V4 range gets a 6.9-inch screen, and standard equipment includes a bi-directional quickshifter, a Sachs steering damper, a pit limiter, Ducati Power Launch, and self-cancelling indicators. The safety equipment and rider aids include ride modes, power modes, race eCBS, traction control, wheelie control and engine braking control, among other things. In terms of optional things, it also gets turn-by-turn navigation, a data logger, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a multimedia system among other things.

The 2025 Panigale V4 range currently has only the BMW S 1000 RR as a direct rival. While the base Panigale V4 comes in at Rs 29.99 lakh, the Panigale V4S can be had from Rs 36.50 lakh onwards (all prices ex-showroom).

Verdict
The new Panigale V4 and the V4S see a slight price hike over their outgoing versions, and they are differed mainly by their suspension bits. With the BMW S 1000 RR as its only rival, the 2025 Panigale V4 should manage to find takers easily when the next lot arrives.
