Honda Activa 125
The new Activa 125 has been launched in two variants: DLX at Rs 94,422 and H-Smart at Rs 97,146. The biggest update in this model is the integration of OBD2B, which stands for On-Board Diagnostics 2. This system monitors the vehicle's engine performance and emissions, similar to the ECU found in cars. The 123.92 cc engine still produces slightly more power and torque than before - 6.20 kW (8.42 PS) and 10.5 Nm of torque.
To add more, the idling start-stop system is also present, helping you achieve your fuel efficiency goals. Other new features on the Activa 125 include a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Now, you can connect your smartphone to this screen via the Honda RoadSync app and unlock features like navigation and call/message alerts.
This premium version of the Activa is now available in six color options, with contrasting brown-colored seats and inner panels. The second variant, H-Smart, is a special name given to the keyless entry system.
Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, "We are happy to announce the new OBD2B-compliant Activa 125. The introduction of this updated model demonstrates our commitment to customer satisfaction. With advanced features like TFT display & Bluetooth connectivity via Honda RoadSync app in the 125cc scooter segment, we aim to redefine the riding experience for customers. We are confident that it will set benchmark in its segment."

Verdict
The update was long overdue for the Activa, as this vehicle has been around for a while and lacked the features offered by its rivals. Another major addition is the OBD2B system, which monitors power output and emissions, translating to better performance across all departments. Additionally, the price has increased by Rs 4,000, and the top trim with H-Smart costs even more. This could impact the purchasing decisions of several buyers.
