Ather Energy is all set to introduce its inaugural family scooter, the Rizta, during the upcoming Ather Community Day on April 6th. The CEO of the brand made use of social media platforms to unveil the launch date of their upcoming electric scooter. Ather Rizta Electric Scooter
The upcoming Rizta electric scooter will feature a distinct design language in contrast to Ather's existing lineup of 450 electric scooters. It will be notably larger in size and will showcase a family-oriented design. Its design will prioritize enhanced practicality and usability for everyday use.
Previous spy images have revealed its boxy design, enlarged flat floorboard area, a spacious seat suitable for accommodating two adults comfortably, along several other design features. Additional design elements will comprise a headlamp assembly mounted on the apron, a petal disc brake at the front, and foldable footrests. The upcoming electric scooter will also incorporate features such as an LCD digital instrument cluster with navigation support, among other functionalities.
Anticipated features include telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock, accompanied by braking systems comprising front and rear disc brakes fitted on 12-inch wheels at both the front and rear ends.

Ather Rizta Powertrain
The upcoming Rizta electric scooter is anticipated to be equipped with a 2.9kWh battery pack generating 5.4 kW of peak power, mirroring the specifications found in the 450S electric scooter. The brand may adjust the power output to better match the scooter's characteristics.
Verdict
The demand for electric scooters is on the rise, prompting more brands to shift their focus towards family-oriented models. Ather, known for its sporty scooters thus far, will now target the family scooter market with the launch of the Rizta. The expected price range for the Ather Rizta is between Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it to compete with electric scooters like the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and others.
