Ather Rizta Battery Pack Teased: Same As The Ather 450 Line-up
Ather, ahead of its scheduled launch on April 6, has officially announced that the forthcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter will be equipped with the same battery pack found in the existing Ather 450 lineup. However, specific details regarding the battery capacity have not been disclosed by the startup.
Ather's upcoming Rizta family scooter remains shrouded in mystery regarding its battery pack. While Ather's existing 450 range offers two options (2.9kWh and 3.7kWh), it's unclear which, or if both, will be available on the Rizta. The initial battery options might also depend on the future of the FAME subsidy program in India.
The 450X equipped with the 2.9kWh battery boasts a claimed range of 111km, whereas the variant featuring the 3.7kWh battery offers a claimed range of 150km (both IDC figures). Given that the Rizta is expected to be larger and likely heavier than the compact 450 line of e-scooters, its estimated range will likely be lower.

New OTA Updates With New Features For Ather 450 Line-up
Ather Energy's CEO, Tarun Mehta, has revealed an imminent significant OTA update for the 450 electric scooter. This update will bring messaging functionalities to the dashboard, a redesigned smartphone application, and several other improvements. Moreover, there's speculation about Ather introducing proximity lock/unlock capabilities. At the Ather Community Day event, participants can explore and test ride the 450 Apex model. The event will also include competitions offering attendees the chance to win an Ather scooter.
Verdict
The Rizta is going to be the biggest scooter from the brand and is being marketed as the family scooter. Even though the specifications and more details are yet to be revealed, the anticipation is runs high and a lot of potential buyers will be waiting to know more about this upcoming scooter.
