Bajaj has launched the much-awaited Dominar 250 in the Indian market at a price of Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The baby Dominar is Rs 30,000 cheaper than the 400cc which is also on sale in the market right now and gets a BS6 compliant engine. Further, it is more fuel efficient as well.
With such an attractive price, Bajaj Dominar 250 will focus on riding enthusiasts who want an accessible step-up sport touring. The two-wheeler comes in two colour options Vine Black and Canyon Red. In terms of design, it looks identical to its elder sibling.
Sharing more details on the powertrain then it is offered in fuel injected liquid-cooled engine which churns out a maximum of 27 PS of power with a peak torque of 23.5 Nm. The engine gets mated to a 6-speed gearbox and 0-100 km/h sprint can be achieved in just 10.5 seconds. Top speed is claimed to be 132 km/h which translates into about 140 on the digital speedometer.
Bajaj Dominar 250 gets full LED headlight unit with AHO (Automatic Headlamps On), beam type perimeter frame, a twin barrel exhaust with throaty exhaust note, split seats and alloy wheels. Dominar 250 continues with the USD forks which is seen on the Dominar 400. They basically provide superior handling.
