So, we leave the looks over to you to decide which one do you think looks better. However, when it comes to concrete numbers, that's something very obvious. When it comes to wheelbase and seat height, the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG bike comes out 14 mm longer and 25mm higher in seat height than the TVS Raider 125. The balancing trait has to be the 17-inch alloys but that;s about it. The TVS raider gets more ground clearance by 10 mm and is also lighter than the Freedom 125 by 26 kgs, which may ultimately feel more nimble than its rival.
Hardware
Bajaj Freedom 125 features a comparable suspension setup of telescopic fork and monoshock. It rides on a combination of 17-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels, with 90-section front and 120-section rear tires. The top-end variant is equipped with a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake to handle braking duties effectively.
The TVS Raider, on the other hand, is equipped with a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension system, paired with 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with 80-section front and 100-section rear tubeless tires. Braking is managed by a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear.
Features
The Bajaj Freedom 125 is equipped with a LCD instrument console featuring negative illumination, showcasing speed, fuel level, time, real-time mileage, distance to empty, trip, and odometer readings. It also supports smartphone connectivity and associated functionalities. However, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation.
In contrast, the TVS Raider SX variant boasts a 5-inch TFT display with advanced features like smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, as well as call and SMS alerts. This gives the TVS Raider an advantage in terms of features and connectivity options.

Engine, Mileage And Specs
Coming to the most important aspect, the engine, specs, and mileage. The Bajaj Freedom 125 is powered by a 125cc air-cooled engine capable of seamlessly switching between CNG and petrol, delivering 9.5PS and 9.7Nm of torque. It features dual tanks: a primary 2kg CNG tank and a 2-litre petrol tank. In contrast, the TVS Raider 125 is equipped with a 124.8cc single-cylinder engine producing 11.38PS and 11.2Nm of torque.
When comparing engine outputs, the TVS Raider has a higher output, but in terms of mileage, the Freedom 125 takes this one clearly. Bajaj claims the Freedom 125 offers over 200km range on CNG alone, with an additional 130km range from the petrol tank of 2 litres. This is where TVS Raider gets slightly behind with around 64-67 kmpl. In short, if you want more power, Raider 125 is the one you want, however, if your preference is mileage, go for Bajaj Freedom 125 anyday.
Price
Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG | Rs. 95,000- Rs. 1.10 lakhs |
TVS Raider 125 | Rs. 95,219- Rs. 1,04 lakhs |
In terms of pricing, the starting price is around the same mark, however, at the top trim, the Freedom 125 is expensive by around Rs 6,000. Verdict
There you have it. Even though we compare these two, there's something that the Bajaj Freedom 125 has done, which is opening up the segment to new heights of fuel economy by being the world's first bike to offer a CNG fuelling option. However, if you want to get to the gist of it, you can go with either one of them and you cannot get it wrong. Still, the mileage concious have the Freedom 125, whereas the greater punch lies within the Raider 125 for that throttling nerve. And now, the choice is yours!
