Triumph Speed 400 Price Controversy - What Did Happen?
As per a viral photo online, the on-road price quoted from a Triumph dealer in Karnataka was too high. This viral photo showed Rs 17,000 being asked as delivery charges. Additionally, this photo had a tab for the accessory 'Intro' kit (which looked mandated for customers). Hence, the fire in the jungle spread rapidly about this pricing detail. Meaning, the Speed 400 price was miscalculated by new buyers & rumours of people considering cancelling their bookings arose. Therefore, the confusion about the on-road price of the Speed 400 grew up rapidly overnight. Now, to clarify this confusion, Bajaj has officially released a statement as below.
Bajaj's Official Statement On The Fake On-Road Price
To clarify this confusion once and for all, Bajaj has now provided its customers & media with the following press release:
At Bajaj Auto Ltd., we are committed to our customers and follow the highest standards of transparency, including pricing. We would urge all our customers and media to ignore the rumours doing rounds across various public and social media platforms related to the on-road pricing of the new Triumph Speed 400. The company has not released any on-road price guidelines and the same would be in line with its other products and industry norms. This will be issued by 10th July.
So, as per Bajaj, this price breakup of on-road expenditures for the Speed 400 is completely false. No dealership, whatsoever, has been provided with any on-road price guidelines until now. Bajaj-Triumph will release the new price guidelines to its dealers soon.
Verdict
As clarified by the manufacturer itself, there is no exact detail about the Speed 400 on-road price until now. However, Bajaj will soon release a detailed on-road price breakup as per different cities. The official dealers will be updated with it soon.
