Bajaj-Triumph Bike Details
While it is not the first time that this upcoming bike has been spied on; the recent images do give us more info. As seen in the photos, the bike is production-ready and undisguised as well. The test mule has been painted in a black shade. The overall size of it looks competitive to its rivals like KTM Duke 390 & Honda CB300R. However, this specific test bike seems to be a roadster version. We suspect that it'll also be available in a scrambler version with different design aesthetics. The overall look is that of the typical roadster with a slightly dedicated riding posture. Also, the rear end is uplifted with a long mudguard. The lights are LED but the indicators look halogen.
Some interesting details revealed this time include a semi-digital instrument console. This is contrary to what was expected until now. The semi-digital unit would possibly help in cost control of it. With that said, it gets bar end mirrors, an engine crash guard, & a brushed-aluminum bash plate as well. Specs include 17-inch alloy wheels, a USD front suspension, a rear monoshock, disc brake at both ends, & possibly dual-channel ABS. It is rumored online that it'll get an engine with a capacity of between 350-400cc. It is going to be a single-cylinder engine that will possibly make a peak power of around 35-40 bhp. The Scrambler version of it will get AT tyres, spoked rims, & luggage-carrying mounts.
Verdict
As the bike is being developed with Bajaj; its cost will be interesting. However, with the Triumph badge on its fuel tank; we suspect that it will be priced well above Rs 2.5 lakh. Also, it will get a bunch of accessory options. These accessories will help owners to use the bike multi-fold. The anticipated launch of it is around mid-2023.
