Benelli India has commenced the pre-bookings for the Benelli TRK 251 adventure motorcycle that is close to its local launch. The new motorcycle will take on the KTM 250 Adventure We expect the new model to be priced aggressively n a range of Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom). The TRK 251 can be booked at any authorized Benelli India showroom or online at http://india.benelli.com/campaigns/benellitrk251. Deliveries of the new motorcycle will start next month.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr Vikas Jhabakh, MD, Benelli India said, We are excited to announce the official pre-bookings of Benelli TRK 251. It marks the beginning of a new phase for the brand as we venture into a new segment of affordable and high-performance adventure tourers. We are committed to introduce Benellis world-class superbikes to the Indian market in time for the brand purists and enthusiasts.
Inspired from the Benelli TRK 502, the Benelli TRK 251 Adventure is built around a steel trellis frame. It's powered by a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that outputs a maximum power of 26 PS at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 21 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The TRK 251 rides on 17 alloy wheels shod with 110/70-spec tyre upfront and 150/60-spec rubber at the rear. Suspension is courtesy 41mm upside-down forks up front and 51mm monoshock at the rear.

Braking duties are through a 280mm floating disc with a 4 piston calliper at the front and a 240 mm disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear. The Benelli TRK 251 will be offered in three colour options Glossy White, Glossy Black and Glossy Grey.
