Benelli TRK 502 Design & Features
The adventure-cum-tourer motorcycle from Benelli is based on a mid-size adv frame. The typical stance of an adventure motorcycle is visible from the first go. Inverted forks at the front which can travel up to 50mm provide a proper adventure motorcycle stance to the bike. Meshed on the upper half is a semi-faired design that carries an adjustable windscreen, twin-pod all-LED headlights, knuckle-guards for better protection, and a raised-up large mudguard for better off-road experience.
Benelli has equipped the TRK with a large 20-liters of the fuel tank to make it capable of covering long stints in one go. Apart from this, the bulky side panels offer multiple luggage holding points to bolt on the likes of panniers or petrol cans. While the TRK 502 is more road-oriented, it offers 17-inch alloys at both ends; on the other hand, the TRK 502X is adventure-prepped and uses a 19-inch front along with a 17-inch rear tyre setup.
Semi-digital console does look a bit old-fashioned now but it does offer smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. Benelli offers both the iterations of the TRK in three colour options - Metallic Dark Grey, Pure White, and Benelli Red.

Engine & Specifications
A twin-cylinder 500cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which produces peak power of 46.8 hp and 46 Nm of peak torque is enough to pull the TRK-twins over the highways as well as off-road trails. Benelli has used a twin-disc brake setup at the front end and a single-disc brake setup at the rear of the TRK 502 and TRK 502X.
This engine is also claimed to achieve an ARAI-certified 20 kmpl of fuel economy, which makes it a pretty decent mile-muncher for being a heavy bike at 235 kg (kerb weight). To ensure the rider's safety, aids such as the dual-channel ABS, and slip-assist clutch have also been provided by Benelli.
The competition of Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X directly withstand the likes of Honda CB500X which has recently undergone a huge price slash of more than Rs 1 lakhs!
