BGauss BG D15 Design & Features
The EV maker is relatively new in the market but with better products on offer; BGauss has earned quite a name for itself in such a short time. The other e-scooters include the BGauss B8 and the BGauss A2 which are known for their durable and efficient nature. Complementing the design layout, the new BG D15 scooter uses a more moped-type design that supports good comfort and space.
With a high-set stance and telescopic front suspension, the wide-shoulder design looks prominent. The use of a round LED headlight design along the chrome cowl makes the overall look familiar to the retro-old moped scooters. BGauss uses 16-inch wheels at both ends of the BG D15. Another noticeable design cue is the large and wide seat. This is designed for utmost rider and pillion comfort.
Along with the seat design, the footboard area is also large and wide that can be used for multiple purposes. This is designed to accommodate the everyday needs of Indian commuters. Also, at the rear end, it uses twin-spring-type suspension which shall ensure a plaint ride quality for the undulated roads. Additionally, the BG D15 comprises a digital instrument panel that comes with Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones. Features like call handling, message notifications, and navigation are incarnated in this.
Engine & Specifications
BGauss has used a 3.2kWh Li-ion battery pack for powering the D15. This battery combined with the IP67-rated electric motor leads to the generation of good city riding performance. According to the company, this electric motor is compliant with extremely dusty and heated weather. BGauss claims to have tested the battery pack to ensure there is no issue with the new EV as such in the Ola S1 Pro or the Okinawa iPraise e-scooters.
The electric battery is also removable which means the riders will not have range anxiety anymore. Due to the bigger battery, the e-scooter can do a 0-60 kmph run under claimed 7 seconds. Also, it incarnates two riding modes. The first being used is the Eco, which helps the scooter to complete an ARAI-certified riding range of 115 km/charge. The second is the Sports mode which helps in enhancing the performance. BGauss claims that the battery can be fully charged in under 5 hours and 30 minutes; which is decent for the segment standards.
The new BGauss BG D15 will officially be launched in the upcoming June 2022. Deliveries are bound to happen after the official launch. Potential buyers can visit the official website to book their D15.
