The new Mahindra XUV700 is currently enjoying strong demand in the market and has long booking periods in India. Anand Mahindra had earlier announced that the brand will be felicitating Avani Lekhara for her trailblazing performance in a 10m air rifle standing at the Tokyo Paralympic 2021. In a first of its kind attempt, the brand made a custom-made Mahindra XUV700 Gold Edition model to cater to accessibility needs. Here are all the details that you should check out.
In addition to the custom-made front seat, the car also features subtle design elements to immortalize the historic performance by Avani. For starters, the customer Made XUV700 is equipped with a special seat that has two operations - forward and return. The forward travel makes the seat move out of the vehicle and lowers down to ensure easy ingress and egress of the co-driver. Moreover, the seat lowering function addresses a critical challenge faced by the specially-abled as it decreases the ingress and egress height and allows a smooth shift from the regular wheelchair to the special seat.
