Citroen C3 - New Colour Option
Citroen has introduced the C3 hatchback in a fresh Cosmo Blue color variant. In addition to this new addition, the brand has opted to discontinue the Zesty Orange color from its lineup. The new Cosmo Blue option is available in monotone and dual-tone variations, paired with Polar White and Steel Grey colors.
The C3 is currently offered in 4 monotone colors and 7 dual-tone options. No other modifications have been made to the lineup, which still consists of three variants: Live, Feel, and Shine. The price of the Citroen C3 starts at Rs 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom).
Regarding features, the Citroen C3 retains a 7-inch instrument cluster and a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with integrated wireless Android AutoTM and Apple CarPlay. In terms of safety, the C3 includes several features such as ESP, Hill Hold, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), and ABS with EBD, among others.
Citroen C3 Engine Specifications
The Citroen C3 is available with two engine choices: a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The former produces a peak power of 81 bhp and generates a torque of 113 Nm. In contrast, the latter delivers 108 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 190 Nm. The former is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the latter is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Verdict
The addition of the new color choice for the Citroen C3 is expected to appeal to a broader range of customers due to its attractive appearance on the car. The decision to discontinue the Zesty Orange color option may have been influenced by its lower popularity. The C3 remains in competition with models such as the Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
