Citroen C3 and eC3 Changes: New Features For Better Feel
The C3 and eC3 have been bare-minimum cars. With their superb ride quality and punchy performance, the C3 and eC3 have pulled moderate sales figures for the company. However, the lack of features has been evident and shunted off the new car buyers.
The upcoming update is expected to equip these cars with features like keyless entry, push-button start, automatic climate control, rear armrest with cupholders, leather seats, LED headlights, and a custom digital instrument console.
Engine and transmission options will remain unchanged on the C3 while the battery pack will remain unchanged on the eC3. The C3 competes with the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Tata Punch.
C3 Aircross Changes
Similar to the changes on the C3 hatchback, the mid-size C3 Aircorss SUV will also undergo feature upgrades. The list of new feature additions includes automatic climate control, LED headlights, a 360-degree parking camera, leather seats, a cooled glovebox, second-row armrest with cupholders, and 6-airbags across all variants for added safety.
The engine options will remain unchanged on the C3 Aircross update. Currently, it competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and MG Astor.
Verdict
Citroen has been struggling with sales numbers even after the introduction of their mid-size SUV. A major reason behind this is the absence of features in these models. With this new update, Citroen will be able to pull new car buyers towards its current product lineup.
