Fisker, the renowned American electric vehicle manufacturer, has revealed its ambitious venture for the Indian market. The all-electric SUV, Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan named after the company's India subsidiary, is making its debut here in India in Q4 of 2023. Following the successful debut of the Fisker Ocean Extreme in Europe and the United States, it is looking to expand its global presence. A pool of limited 100 units will be imported for sale in the country.
Let's get into the details of the same.
Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan- Design
In a bid to stake its claim in the steaming-up EV scene in India, Fisker is making its move. With the craze for SUVs anticipated with the EVs as well, the Extreme Vigyaan does look promising. With a certain resemblance to the industry legends as well, the Range Rover Evoque from some angles, styling is not an issue.
From the front, it gets EV-specific elements like a closed grille, chunky bumper, Ocean badging in the middle, and sleek aggressive LED headlamps with a connected beam. Air flaps at the lower bumper and everything adds up to deliver a neat-looking vehicle.
The side profile is a classy straight-cut boxy sloping downwards at the rear. It will remind you of the classic Range Rover Evoque at a glance. And it is as timeless as it gets.

Rear keeps the butcher-up stance with a chunky lower bumper, badging in the middle of the tailgate accentuated by sharp tail lamps. The spoiler would house the high mount stop-lamp. But wait, that's not all as there is an interesting element to its exterior.
The roof houses a huge Solar Sky roof that generates electricity on the go. This helps fulfil the energy needs of the SUV and puts out extra juice for the tasks.
The Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition stands out with its impressive features, including a vertical 17.1-inch touchscreen, 15-speaker audio system, digital rearview mirror, and a powered tailgate, offering a technologically advanced driving experience. However, there is still no update as to what India-specific changes it will bring with it.
Electric Powertrain
The Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition claims a WLTP range of 707 km on a full charge, claiming the title for the longest range available in Europe today. It gets a 113 kWh battery pack that powers the motor. The motor churns out 564 hp power with a peak torque of 736Nm. It attains a top speed of 205 kmph and takes 4 seconds to reach the 0-100 kmph speed. These units will be shipped as a CBU with future plans of assembling in India.
Price
The Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition in India is expected to be priced over Rs. 70-75 lakhs. Taking into account import taxes and logistics, it aims to align with the European market pricing.
Verdict
