Other than the music control buttons, this Kia Sonet now gets an aftermarket cruise control button too and for just Rs 3,500.
According to the modifier who is supplying and also fitting the cruise control in Kia Sonet said that they are genuine accessories from the company. They also showed the working mechanism of the cruise control and which can be seen in the video itself.
Cruise control might not be a popular feature on Indian roads but those who travel on highways knows its importance. Just select the desired speed you want to travel and the car will cruise at that speed until brake or clutch is applied.

Cruise control not only eases the driving but also delivers an excellent fuel economy if used correctly. It is surreal that people having the base model of their car can go for the aftermarket cruise control options and enjoy the benefits just like the top model.
According to the modifier, no wire cutting has taken place and this whole system is based on the plug and play scenario. The warranty won't be voided if you are going for this feature. However, we feel that the electronics of the car should not be played with as it may cause damage in the future.
The cruise control in Kia Sonet comes from the HTX variant and above. Kia Sonet is available in four engine options - a 1.5L turbo diesel making 100 PS with 240 Nm of peak torque and this same diesel unit also makes 115 PS with 250 Nm of peak torque.

You also get a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit making 120 S with 172 Nm of peak torque while the humble 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol makes only 84 PS with 115 Nm of peak torque. The prices of Kia Sonet starts from Rs 6.79 lakh and the top model fetches till Rs 13.20 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
