Gogoro GX250: What To Expect!
Gogoro appears to be developing a new, more budget-friendly electric scooter known as the Gogoro GX250. This scooter is designed to be a cost-effective option within Gogoro's electric scooter lineup. Recent homologation documents shed light on its specifications.
The Gogoro GX250 falls into the L1 category, which means it's a low-speed motorcycle with an engine power below 0.5kW or a maximum speed of under 45 km/h. The motor for this scooter is made by FIEM, and it's paired with a Gogoro battery. Despite being categorized as L1, Gogoro has approved the GX250 for up to 2.471 kW peak power at 24 km/h and a maximum of 2.29 kW power for 30 minutes at 54.8 km/h. This suggests it's likely to have a top speed of 25 km/h, making it ideal for city commuting. Plus, it can benefit from Gogoro's battery-swapping system.
The battery, weighing 10.3 kg, is likely designed to be removable, in line with Gogoro's design philosophy. Speaking of the battery, it's a 37.2 Ah Li-ion battery with a total capacity of 1.6126 kWh. According to Gogoro, this battery offers a range of 112 km on a single charge, as per the AIS040 (Rev 1) standard.

Gogoro GX250: Dimensions And Price!
The Gogoro GX250 can accommodate two people. In terms of size, it has a 1425 mm long wheelbase, is 650 mm wide, 1980 mm long, and stands at 1165 mm in height. It weighs 272 kg. The whole scooter weighs 272 kilograms. When it comes to cost, you might expect it to be priced between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 65,000 (excluding taxes), and it should become available sometime in 2024. It will face competition from other low-speed electric scooters that offer similar features.
