Hero Xoom 110cc Scooter Details
Hero has already showcased a silhouette of the Xoom scooter to its dealers in the past. It was a dealer event where the first details of Xoom were leaked out. However, the scooter is now production-ready and about to hit the showrooms. Hero has teased the upcoming Xoom via a digital image of it. As seen in the photo, it is clear that the design of it will be sharp and sporty. Hence, it is going to appeal to young buyers more. Additionally, the front gets an X-shaped LED DRL along with an LED headlight. Meanwhile, Hero has used dual-tone body colour along with exciting graphics on it.
While Xoom is going to be based on the Maestro Edge 110; it will have different tech. For example, the Edge uses 12-inch front and 10-inch rear tyre sizes. But, Xoom will get 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends. Additionally, the front braking is done via a disc brake setup on it. Meanwhile, Xoom will also get the i3s system that can be switched via a button. The Maestro Edge lacks this system but we expect that this system will help increase fuel economy on the new Xoom.
Apart from these, Xoom also gets a TFT display along with Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, it also gets SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Hero will also equip it with the reliable 110.9cc single-cylinder engine that makes a peak power of 8 bhp.
Verdict
Hero Maestro Edge has done a wonderful job for the company in terms of sales. However, the competition manufacturers offer sporty products like Honda Dio. Hence, to eliminate the lack of appeal and tech; Xoom will launch on 30 January. Currently, we do not have any details about its prices but we expect it to be a few thousand more costly than the Maestro. Meanwhile, Honda is also going to launch a new 'Smart' variant of Activa 6G tomorrow in India.
