Hero MotoCorp has discontinued its two sports bikes, the Hero Xpulse 200T and Hero Xtreme 200S, both featuring a 199.6 cc engine. The reason for this decision is clear: poor sales, despite several updates to these motorcycles. Additionally, the brand recently showcased its new line of products with updated engines, including the Karizma XMR 210, Xpulse 210, and Xtreme 250R, at EICMA 2024, with plans to launch them next year.
Therefore, it is fair to stop the production of models that did not sell. Let's learn more about this news below. In the meantime, make sure to join the 91Wheels Whatsapp Channel to never miss out on automotive updates.

Hero Xpulse 200T 4V And Xtreme 200S
The Hero Xpulse 200T 4V was a toned-down version of the Xpulse 200, featuring 17-inch alloy wheels. This bike used the same 199.6 cc engine that produces 18.9 bhp and 17.35 Nm of torque. It had decent off-roading capabilities but was more suited for the commuter segment.
On the other hand, the Hero Xtreme 200S was a full-fairing sports bike that reminded many of the original Karizma, especially in its signature yellow color. Despite Hero providing regular updates, these bikes didn't sell well, so the automaker has now discontinued them. The price of the Hero Xpulse 200T 4V was Rs 1.40 lakh ex-showroom, and Rs 1.41 lakh for the Xtreme 200S.

Verdict
Hero MotoCorp's future lineup looks very solid, as they showcased several bikes at EICMA 2024 and are now using more powerful engines. Regarding the termination of these bikes, it's a smart move, as they weren't getting much attention, and you hardly ever saw them on the roads. Additionally, their resale value is poor, so there's little point in buying them.
