In addition, the petrol engine is combined with two electric motors, one of which serves as a starter-generator and support for the petrol engine. Meanwhile, the second electric motor with 109 bhp and 253 Nm of torque drives the front wheels through a custom gearbox with a single fixed gear ratio. It is expected to come with a single CVT automatic transmission. Pure EV, Hybrid, and Petrol-Only driving modes will be available on the Honda City hybrid in 2022. The Thai-spec variant is said to get 27.78 kmpl.
The interior features and design ought to be similar to the present 5th generation of the City in India. Since the City Hybrid is based on the sedan's top-spec model, it will come with all the bells and whistles, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa remote control, ambient lighting, and linked car technologies.
