Honda Dio Sports Edition scooter has been launched in India. The new limited edition scooter is available in two variants.
In an attempt to revive the slow sales of its Dio scooter Honda has launched a limited edition. The newly launched Honda Dio Sports Edition has launched in India starting with a price tag of Rs 68,317. It will be a limited edition and hence only a handful amount of units are going to be sold.

The Sports Edition Dio is being offered in two different variants. These include the Standard and the Deluxe trims. Both of these trims offer two new colour options that make the limited edition stand apart from the regular Dio. These new colour options include - Sports Red with Black and Strontium Silver Metallic paint shades. The Standard Variant of this limited edition is priced at Rs 68,317 and the Deluxe trim is priced at Rs 73,317 ex-showroom Delhi.
Honda Dio Sports Edition Details
The overall design of the Dio scooter appeals to a young audience. It embraces a sports and edgy outlook that makes it different from the rest of the rivals. With the addition of the new colours and body graphics, the Dio scooter has now become more attractive than ever.
Feature-wise Honda has equipped the Dio with a LED headlight and LCD digital instrument console. The single wide seat is comfortable and the under seat luggage capacity is also one of the best in the segment. Honda has used telescopic forks at the front and 3-step adjustable spring suspension at the rear.

Mechanically, the Dio Sports remain the same as the standard variants. It continues using the same reliable and fuel-efficient engine. It is a 110cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out peak power of 7.6 hp and 9 Nm of peak torque. It uses a CVT gearbox as the transmission for delivering the power to the rear wheel.
However, we wish that Honda should have updated the new limited edition scooter with disc brakes. The braking is done via a drum brake setup on both of the ends. The rivals of Honda Dio include - Hero Maestro Edge, TVS Jupiter, & Honda Activa 6G.
